📢 Service Update – Major Changes Starting May 1, 2025

Dear Customers,

We’re reaching out with some important updates regarding our Batocera and Windows OS base image services. These changes are designed to improve your overall experience and align with our 2025 product roadmap.

❌ Discontinuing Previous Base Images

Starting May 1, 2025, we will no longer support or provide Old Batocera and Windows OS image service. Managing multiple OS versions has become increasingly complex and inefficient. Additionally, due to recent tariff impacts, we’ve made the decision not to adjust our prices based on fluctuating tariffs. Instead, to keep prices stable and fair, we are discontinuing pre-stacked SD card options.

🚀 Introducing a New Customizable Order System

We’re excited to launch our new Batocera Server with customizable order support, bringing you:

• Faster order processing – most orders ship within 24 hours after purchase

• Lifetime updates – automatic syncing for emulation content and bug fixes (separate from Batocera OS updates)

This shift allows us to streamline our services and improve long-term support without raising costs.

🔁 Important: Server Cleanup & Transition

As part of this transition, all previous builds will be removed from our server. Whether you’re making a new purchase or requesting a replacement for a past order, you’ll receive the new standardized build going forward. This ensures consistency and improves future support for all users.

🎮 Updated Steam Deck Listings (Coming Soon)

Here’s a preview of what’s coming to our updated Steam Deck offerings:

🔹 Batocera Edition

• [Collection – SD Card]
  500GB base image (customizable; expandable up to 2TB)
  Mail-in service only. No USB required.

• [Collection – USB with HDD]
  500GB base image (customizable; expandable up to 14TB)
  Mail-in service only. Requires USB-A to USB-C converter or hub (sold separately).

• [Standalone Editions]
  Focused platform builds (e.g., PSX-only, PS2-only, PS3-only)
  Other platforms removed for a lean experience.

🔹 Windows 11 RetroBat Edition

• RetroDeck
  Includes Windows 11 pre-installed with 1TB of RetroBat emulation content
  Note: This edition is not customizable at this time.

💬 Special Orders Still Available

If you prefer a version that includes an SD card or HDD, you can still get it as a special order. Just contact us via chat to request this option. We're happy to accommodate where possible.

🔄 Free Upgrades for Previous Customers

If you’ve already purchased from us in the past, you’re eligible for a free upgrade to the new system (shipping costs only). Simply reach out via chat with your Order ID, and we’ll take care of the rest.
